Free State Storageis operated by Midwest Storage Solutions, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect through freestatestorage.com and when you rent from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, mailing address and the unit or space you want, when you reserve, rent, join a waitlist, send a form or contact us.
- Rental and payment information. Your lease, payment history and gate access records. Card and bank details are entered into and held by our property management and payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Site usage. Pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, collected through cookies and Google Analytics.
- Security footage. Cameras record the property around the clock.
How we use it
- To reserve, rent and bill your unit, and to give you gate access.
- To answer questions and send notices about your account.
- To keep the property secure and to meet our legal obligations.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- To send promotions, only if you opted in to receive them.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us a mobile number, we may text you about your reservation or rental: confirmations, gate and lock information, payment reminders and account notices. If you tick the box to receive promotions and deals, we may also text you occasional offers.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or call (785) 576-6234.
- Consent to receive promotional texts is not a condition of renting.
- We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text message opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run the rental for us: property management and tenant portal software, payment processing, tenant protection plan administration, phone and messaging, website hosting and analytics.
- Law enforcement or others when the law requires it, or to protect people and property.
- A successor, if the facility or business is sold.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and Google Analytics to measure site traffic, and may use Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep rental records for as long as you are a tenant and afterwards as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law. Contact us using the details below.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
